ART Space

Art direction

A collaborative project, transforming a working studio into a subversive, multimedia creative hub for exhibitions, artists, and experimental community projects in Key West.

Created by local artists Michael Marrero and Marky Pierson, Art Space Gallery was a working studio, alternative gallery venue, and community hub that helped energize Key West’s local art scene. Through ongoing art direction and collaborative programming, the space became a platform for emerging talent, themed monthly exhibitions, and dynamic multimedia projects that pushed beyond the traditional gallery format. Showcasing everything from pop art, political posters, graffiti, tattoo art, and photography to film, graphic design, and experimental work, Art Space brought together painters, photographers, filmmakers, designers, and makers in a shared creative environment. The result was a slightly subversive, highly active space where art, community, and collaboration could overlap freely.
