From an interview with Florida Weekly’s Kevin Assam

“The space has previously been two other brands over the last 4–5 years. So, we definitely wanted to make some big changes in the appearance. We wanted to increase the level of comfort and styling for the restaurant—and also add a lot more tropical foliage around the property. The whole building was painted, there are a couple mural installations, with an overall color palette of lush greens and other earthy and floral colors. The furniture was upgraded and there is a modern tropical lounge area surrounded by tropical foliage in the front of the space.

The Perry Hotel has its own minimal urban vibe which has been awarded and loved. The Marina has had a huge upgrade to all aspects of the design and for this new restaurant they wanted to have a little higher-end feel with some of the details while maintaining the relaxed and casual environment.” — Marky Pierson
