Fantasy Fest

Art direction

A refreshed art direction and marketing campaign for Fantasy Fest, returning the iconic Key West celebration to its roots in costuming, imagination, fantasy, and creative spectacle.

Marky Pierson puts the art in Key West's biggest party

By Mandy Miles | KEY WEST CITIZEN

In 2018, Marky Pierson stepped in as Art Director for Fantasy Fest, working with the Wonderdog team to help shift the festival’s marketing direction back toward the heart of the event: costumes, imagination, fantasy, and uninhibited creativity. The project introduced a more illustrative graphic design style, along with a stronger digital presence through promotional videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and online advertising. Wonderdog also created immersive photo and video setups, large-scale three-dimensional letters, and King and Queen campaign visuals with Jack McDonald, helping elevate the festival’s image while appealing to both high-end costume culture and a younger festival-going audience.
